College Expenses
Don’t let expenses hit you in slow motion; be prepared to make sure you have everything you need for studying so that you’re well and truly knowledgeable about your course.
Take textbooks for example; they won’t make for riveting bedtime reading but you will need them if you’re going to pass with flying colours. Why don’t you:
- Use the library so you don’t have to buy all the books on the reading list
- Think about second hand books. Most student unions will have a book sale at the beginning of every year. So get there fast and you could save yourself some cash
- Talk to your lecturers to find out if the prescribed textbooks for your course will stay the same
- Speak to students in the year ahead and see if you can purchase books that they don’t need anymore
